For my spouse,
We have applied for I 485 after our visit to India.
1. First I 94 was taken at the airport and got the new one while we came back and one of the requirement is the copy of I 94
How and where can I get a copy (I never made a copy of that).
Note: Spouse passport has stamping but the requirement is copy of I 94
any help or suggestoins where can we get a copy. We have applied for states Id's in two different states where they made copies of I 94 but at that time I never though of making copies of it.
Any suggestions to get copy I 94? please share your exp.

If you currently have health insurance, you can continue it using COBRA in case of a layoff. With the recent stimulus bill, the premiums has been slashed by 65% for 9 months which is significant.
Oh really It's a Great news! I don't know this.So if we loose job and use cobra a family can get Insurance for about $250-$300 for 9 months.Do you have any link explaining this to get some more info?

I called USCIS and I was told that, in (mid) July, NSC and TSC were the only Service centers receiving applns. USCIS has received enormous # of applications in and around mid-July and they are stagnant somewhere in the Service Centers. Applications are not moved from NSC to TSC. They are in the service center where they were sent.
They may be in the system by the end of this month. I guess we'll have to wait, only time will answer.

I am trying to collect a list of some prominent people (scientists, doctors, entrepreneurs, etc.) who are EB immigrants or were/are on H1 for an article. Please share if you happen to know or can point to such information. For example, orkut was invented by a former H-1B visa holder. Any examples with relevance in the current economic situation will be specially useful. For example, somebody who immigrated to US on EB category is now running a business and/or employing Americans.

I believe in IV and its efforts.
I understand rally will help IV to demonstrate the people support.
I understand, in rally and after rally IV requests/lobbys law-makers to fix the broken immigration system system.
But can someone clarify me, what exactly IV is requesting law-makers?
1) Are we asking to re-capture visa numbers? (150K may not be sufficient for 750K applicants)
2) Remove country limit (still have to 5 years)
3) Increase the EB quota?
4) Clear all current pending Backlog labor/I-140/I-485/etc applications by 2009? This is temporary solution, but will solve the problem for now.
5) Another Immigration Reform bill for legal?
Having clear answers will help to gain support from my friends, colleagues and more and more people will be willing to join.

I filed on first week of feb. My 6 yrs with recapture ends in april 2011. Is it possible to go out of country some time in june 2010 and recapture more time ?
As per my attorney yes, it is possible. I am in same boat. Waiting for the PWD to come will plan how much time I need to be out of country based on that

Secondly how do you explain this:
going forward, the MRV fee will have to be paid prior to scheduling appointment. But then to pay the MRV fee I have to be in Canada. But then to be in Canada, the canadian consulate need the appointment letter. It's a catch 22 .

Di you submit all F1, H1, EAD documents to the USCIS with your original I0485 submission? Did you send any W2 forms?
Didn't submit anything related to F1 (Only grad certificate). I did submit paystubs + W2's...

my mom gave up her green card back in early 80's and she has had no problems what so ever in getting vistors visa since then (in fact it made it easier to get vistors visa (for the entire family) because it clearly shows no intention of migrating to US).

Similar thing happened to my AP notice. I got all the notices properly including EAD. But my AP approval notice was sent back by USPS as undeliverable. USCIS sent the AP back to my lawyer along with USPS undeliverbale notice without any upate on the online status. Lawyer sent whole package back to me. I could see that address is correct. I have placed recepient names in the mail box long back so thats not the issue. USPS undeliverable notice was pasted on top of the returned mail. That was strange.
As I enquired further one of my friend wife FP notice also sent back like that , luckily his lawyer also got another one.
I am going to meet USPS personnel soon to find out what exactly the issue .
On October XX, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.
I was shocked. I have emailed the company law firm and I'm awaiting response from them.... Have they mistyped their own address since that is supposed to go to them? Or USCIS is just pulling my legs?

Also my birth certificate(English version too) was send along with I-485 app. So I hope that does now show up.

They can study without any issue.They dont need any permission. Universersities allow to study on H4. Only thing is they cannot work like an F1-student.
Can H-4 holder (Dependent) can pursue higher studies in the US. Do we need any special permission from the USCIS ?
